Item Description
3-5/8x6.5" envelope has great Shadow image w/"Columbia" radio microphone and "A Personal Invitation From America's Premier Radio Star The Shadow! See Inside!" text. Envelope contains mail-away postcard/folder that opens to 6x7". Postcard serves as both an advertisement for The Shadow radio show (w/repeated Shadow silhouette and list of radio stations carrying the show) as well as offering an "Overnight Free Test Of Perfect-O-Lite" headlights. Both envelope and postcard were issued in 1932 in conjunction w/new automobile headlight system promotion. Envelope does not feature mailing address and is unused. Even, moderate aging w/some scattered insect damage along edges. Envelope is VG/Fine. Postcard is also unused and evenly aged w/faint staining along left margin of portion designed to be removed and mailed. VF. Rare as complete/intact. One of just a few examples offered in our 56 years.
