1926. Tiffany & Co. signed sub-second dial w/blued steel spade hands and Arabic numerals. Case signed "PPC" on bow, "18K/ Made For Tiffany & Co/By Patek Phillippe & Co/Switzerland/198505" inside rear cover and "18k/198505" inside cuvette. 18 jewel movement w/eight adjustments signed "Made For Tiffany & Co/By Patek Phillippe & Co/Switzerland" w/serial number 198505 matching case. Inscribed "The Learned Professions Take Pleasure In Presenting This Gift To Deputy Commissioner Augustus S Downing As A Token Of Love And Appreciation After 52 Years Of Unselfish Service In Their Behalf 1874-1926" on cuvette and "ASD" on case back. Downing was Deputy Commissioner of Education in New York. Surface scratches on back of case. Some tarnish visible upon close inspection to rim on front of watch but does not distract from the piece in any way. No significant scratches on crystal. Comes w/original presentation box, which has significant wear to the corners and sides of box. A terrific opportunity to own a Patek Phillippe private label Tiffany & Co. pocket watch.
