Item Description
2.5x4x.75". Produced by Pyro Photo Mfg. Co. Featured on the paperweight are President Roosevelt, Kaiser Wilhelm II, George V, and an unidentified woman. The crisis was a naval blockade imposed on Venezuela by the UK, Germany, and Italy after a failure of Venezuela to pay off debts. The crisis ended in part due to U.S. intervention and mediation by Roosevelt. Small area of loss on the image just to the right of the woman's portrait. Otherwise moderate surface handling and a tiny chip along upper right corner on bottom that does not affect display. Fine.
