Item Description
2.5x9". Glossy paper. The Texas Senate tried and failed to repeal the poll tax in 1949 and 1963. This decal is C.1949 failed attempt, as the 1963 effort was held on Nov. 9 .Small tear in top edge just above the "M" in "Democracy". Otherwise some light scattered creasing and handling wear. Fine. The poll tax was ultimately ended the Texas poll tax in 1966, although it was not formally ratified until 2009.
