Item Description
1.75" with fixed horizontal bar pin, but no maker's name. Chief Bemidji (in Ojibwe 'Shay-now-ish-kung') was a peacemaker and diplomat during the 1850s era when the federal government moved the Ojibwe from traditional Wisconsin homelands to new land in Minnesota. The Chief became the first permanent settler of Bemidji, Minnesota. Reflected light and close viewing shows a .25" deeper than usual scratch in from 11 o'clock edge. Glossy, VF and our first. Rare.
