Item Description
21x25". Listed in Threads of History plate #48 on p. 68. Main scene in center is Jackson leading his troops to victory at the Battle of New Orleans on January 7, 1815. Along the border are seven vignettes of other American victories during the War of 1812. Even age toning, as well as a few tiny scattered holes. Otherwise moderate handling, w/a few faint scattered stains. Overall VF. An impressive textile featuring Old Hickory at his greatest military victory, propelling him into the spotlight as a national hero. Rare and historic.
