Item Description
1.75x2.75x.5" thick designed as a book with glass covers featuring choice color portrait on reverse of glass front plus reverse glass back with text "Forget Me Not." c. 1848. The glass plates are assembled with cardboard to form ornately embossed spine covering and edges are colored and embossed to simulate the gold-leaf edges of a fine quality book. A gilt foil trim surrounds the borders of each glass panel. Only light wear on the spine, w/virtually no gilt trim loss. Extremely Fine. High grade example that is as nice as we have encountered in our 56 years.
