Item Description
Marvel. "Virgin" cover. Humberto Ramos cover and art. White pages. To promote Marvel's 80th Anniversary, Marvel Comics #1000 was released w/vast array of variant covers. This limited edition D23 Expo Edition was given to those in attendance at the Marvel panel at the 2019 D23 Expo, w/comic shops receiving a single copy per store afterwards. Wonderful cover celebrates Marvel's partnership w/Disney, showing Mickey Mouse presenting Marvel superheroes Spider-Man, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Captain America and Iron Man w/a birthday cake topped w/"80" candles. The room around them is decorated w/various nods and homages to Marvel Comics history, including posters featuring the covers to Incredible Hulk #1, Marvel Comics #1 and #2 (prototype). White pages. Only 13 copies in a 9.9 grade in the CGC Census w/none higher (Sept. 2023). 9.9 Mint copies rarely come up for sale, the last such copy sold for $2,500 in 2020 according to GPA Analysis.
