Item Description
1.25" w/union bug on curl at 6 o'clock. Truman Crusaders was a group of independent citizens in support of Truman because of his stance on civil rights. Headed by Herbert L. Bruce and J. Raymond Jones. Bruce was the first African American Tammany Hall leader, an active supporter of Truman in 1948 and a member of the Crusaders Democratic Club in Harlem making it likely that this button originated w/that group. Some scattered air marks seen in reflected light. Otherwise light wear. Vibrant color and well centered. Extremely Fine.
