Item Description
First issue published in Mar., 1940 by Street & Smith Publications Inc. Early issues of this run featured reprinted pulp cover illustrations. Issue has been signed on first page in blue ink "To Jack McGonigle With Best Wishes From Walter B. Gibson (Maxwell Grant)." Back cover features nice illustration of "The Shadow And His Agents" seated around table, back cover is ad for "Shadow Comics." Issue has handling wear, surface paper rubs and 1" spine split at bottom which has interior tape repair. VG. Comes w/Hake's COA.
