Item Description
1-7/16x2.5". The 1919 W514 set is comprised of 120 cards. The front of the cards portray a comparatively crude drawing of the athletes portrayed with a color background and a thin black line containing the pose. The player's name, team, position and the card number all are identified at the bottom of the frame. Card backs are blank.

Grover Alexander (1887-1950), nicknamed "Old Pete," a MLB pitcher who played for the Philadelphia Phillies (1911-1917), Chicago Cubs (1918-1926) and St. Louis Cardinals (1926-1929). He was a three-time Triple Crown winner and 1926 World Series champ. Alexander was inducted into the National Baseball Hall Of Fame in 1938.
