9.5x12.75x4-3/8" deep slipcase (w/gilt lettered spine covering) contains five deluxe hardcover books. Originally titled The Crypt Of Terror for the first 17 issues, the title changed to Tales From The Crypt w/issue #17. Books reprint issues #17-46, comprising all 30 issues of EC Comics' premier horror title. Published in 1979 by Russ Cochran, these bw reprint books feature art by Johnny Craig, Wally Wood, Al Feldstein, Harvey Kurtzman, Graham Ingels, Jack Kamen, Jack Davis, Al Williamson, Bernard Krigstein and others. Slipcase shows moderate scattered wear, w/obvious wear at one corner, scattered color rubs and dust soiling. VG/Fine overall. Books themselves remain VF/Exc. to Exc. w/just minor handling wear to volumes.
