Item Description
7/8". Similar to JCB-1860-26 in DeWitt, but w/different frame. Holed at 6 o'clock. While the standard front-to-back ferrotype features both Breckinridge and Lane, this example, perhaps an error, has Breckinridge on both sides. Front has light crazing along the right side, w/wear along left side of portrait at 9 o'clock. Reverse has two areas of loss on portrait , one in candidate's hairline, and the other on the left side of his mouth. Moderate wear on brass frame. Technically VG overall, but front side displays well above grade. John Gearhart Collection.
