Item Description
This Fan Club Reception, with Roy in attendance, was held sometime between October 8 and October 24 while the Roy Rogers World's Championship Rodeo was appearing daily at the Chicago Stadium. Roy appeared at every rodeo performance along with Dale and the Sons of Pioneers. This large 2-9/16" button has a brass metal back and bar pin. There is no maker's name. The surface is a slight matte finish so that names could be written on one or two of the lines below the center text of "Chicago-Oct. 1948." Upper half has a few very tiny raised cello bumps. Totally clean. Exc. One of three known to us. Rare.
