Item Description
Rodman Wanamaker, son of Wanamaker's department store founder John, sponsored between 1908 and 1913 three photographic expeditions to the West to document the vanishing life style of the American Indian. This 1.5" button with Bastian paper is undated but almost certainly was issued as a promotional for the display of the resulting photographs at the Philadelphia store. Superb color and detail. Scarce. NM displaying Mint.
