Item Description
35.5" long w/2.25" tall topper. Ornate floral accents on topper w/ text on top reading "Compliments of Cleveland & Hendricks Guard of Honor to Hon. Wm. C. Maybury, Detroit Nov. 13, 1884." Maybury was a sitting Congressman at the time of the Detroit celebration and would go on to serve as the Mayor of Detroit from 1897 to 1904. Light scattered surface wear on wood surfaces w/only minor wear on topper. Exc. An impressive single-day event cane.
