Item Description
In 1984, Buttons In Sets listed 26 different Peanuts cartoon/slogan buttons. These began in the early 1960s, but carry copyright dates (United Features Syndicate) ranging from 1950 to 1976, as well as just a few with no curl text. In the 1.75" size, this collection includes 23 of the 26 listed in Buttons In Sets, in addition there are two 1.75" unlisted in Buttons In Sets, a single 1.75 with no curl text and two rarities in the 1.5" size one naming Simon Simple and one with no maker. The last row has the four with small defect of stain, fade or reverse small spit. The rest are Exc. to NM and include the scarce Snoopy "I'm On the Moon" from 1969. An outstanding collection of the earliest authorized series of Charlie Brown, Snoopy and friends. 28 in all.
