Item Description
2x3.75". Union bug at bottom. Two tiny pin holes at top that are trivial and mentioned only for extreme accuracy. Otherwise light scattered wear. Extremely Fine. This sticker is a reference to an October 29, 1940 incident in which Willkie made a campaign stop in Huntington City, WV. During his visit, a young man threw an egg at Willkie. The boy was arrested and charged w/disorderly conduct. Perhaps the egg-throwing incident just days before the election was a bad omen for Willkie, as he was defeated by FDR handily, including Willkie's defeat  in Cabell County, the county in which Huntington City is located.
