Item Description
13x18.25x5.25" deep cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains set by Pressman Toy Corp. ©1952 Post Hall Syndicate. Box lid features great Hank Ketchum illustration of Dennis using this set as Ruff looks on. Box shows scattered aging/wear w/extensive tape repair to edge splits on lid and three corners. Scattered edge wear/aging w/lt. staining on lid. Box bottom has one taped corner. Box has both inserts. Box is VG overall. Interesting set includes 10.75" tall battery-operated hard plastic dentist's station w/simulated light, drill, sink and faucet, tin of "Small Fry 'Gold' Filling" putty, seven chrome plastic tools (w/cup and two-piece topper), larger cup, "Ipana" toothbrush, box of "Ipana" toothpaste and composition head w/hinged, ventriloquist doll-like jaw dummy of "Tommy - Dennis' Patient And Friend" to practice on. Tommy's teeth (including one removable) would include some cavities. Face has one stressline at mouth. Fine overall. Rest of contents show some lt. aging and average Exc. Nearly complete, missing tiny teeth. Overall appearance is unused. Set comes w/illustrated instructions which show some handling wear, small stain and has small edge tear. Missing dental care booklet. VG. An elaborate set rarely found in this condition and this complete. Michael Lartigaut Collection.
