Item Description
19" tall molded composition and wood figure of GE/General Electric Radio's "Bandy" band leader advertising mascot. Produced by Cameo Doll Co., c. 1930s. Designed by noted illustrator Maxfield Parrish, doll has slotted hands for holding advertising cards. Cameo decal on underside of one foot shows wear, approx. 80% remaining. "GE - General Electric Radio_ decal on front of hat shows some lt. aging but remains complete and "GE" collar decal has sliver off edge. Doll has had plume replaced w/pipe cleaner and has also had chin strap, belt and batons replaced. Face shows typical lt. crazing. Chest/jacket and hands/gloves have had some touch-ups. Legs have aged and exhibit all over crazing. VG/Fine, but still nice for display. Michael Lartigaut Collection.
