Item Description
1.5" tall slightly convex metal badge from the Captain America - Sentinels Of Liberty club kit, which was which issued shortly after Captain America's debut in Captain America Comics #1 (March, 1941). The club was a smart marketing ploy by publisher Timely to promote Joe Simon and Jack Kirby's patriotic hero. This version is in copper luster as opposed to brass. Many don't realize there were two versions produced, but when you have them side by side, you certainly notice the difference in luster color. Scattered surface wear visible upon magnification but much luster and near full paint remains. VF.  An increasingly in-demand Golden Age collectible, especially this much less seen variant.
