Item Description
3x10x10" by J.E. Stevens Co. 1907. Mechanical action as follows: Sliding back a metal piece on the top cocks the rifle. The bear is pushed into the tree stump and the cover closed. A coin is placed on the gun barrel and the lever on the base is depressed. TR's head lowers as if taking aim, the coin shoots into the stump and the bear pops up. A percussion cap could be used in the gun to produce an explosion. In working order w/original paint and original trap. Scattered paint loss, mostly relegated to Teddy's body, while paint intact on ground, tree, and bear. VG.
