Item Description
1.5" w/only minor wear in reflected light. NM. Scarce. The Independent Committee on Vietnam (ICV) was founded by David Gilbert who also was co-founder of a chapter of Students For A Democratic Society (SDS). Both groups were formed in 1966 and merged in the fall of that year. This chapter of SDS helped make the group a household name in the late 1960s anti-war movement when Gilbert was among the organizers of the April-May Student Strike that saw students occupy university buildings eventually being violently removed by NYPD.
