Item Description
Superman (second version) kit No. 462-100, ©1963 NPP, Inc. and Spider-Man kit No. 477-100, ©1966 Marvel Comics Group. Lid features early Marvel art by Neal Adams. Typically sold individually for $1 a piece, here a store has bundled both model for a special promotion, w/paper strip reading "Two $1.00 Kits - Grant's Special 1.58" shrinkwrapped across the fronts of both kits. Grant's was known for buy-one-get-one/package deals, w/models shrinkwrapped together w/their custom signage. Despite this, we have only seen a few such special offers over the years and never one of this caliber, w/two big name and very desirable character kits. Extremely rare and the only such example we know of. Boxes remain tightly sealed w/no tears/splits to cellophane. NM. Factory-sealed w/unused contents. High grade example and as nice as these come. Collectors take note, if you are an Aurora completist, it is rather unlikely you will ever see another, especially in this high grade.
