Item Description
11.25x16.75" cotton flag w/48 stars features silk-screened insignia design measuring 7.5" dia. Insignia depicts Donald Duck wearing "USN" (US Navy) helmet while riding horse wearing "169" saddle and carrying model of Landing Craft Tank LCT(5)-169 (which saw service 1942-1946 before being stricken from Navy Register) under his arm. 1940s, but no Walt Disney studio markings. Flag has slight fading as framed over the years (color on back remains strong) and shows some corner wear at upper left. Some faint scattered staining visible to a few white bars, but o/w VF. Interesting and patriotic wartime piece.
