Item Description
1.75". No maker. Billy Dean Smith was drafted into the military in 1968 to serve in Vietnam. While fighting overseas, two of his superiors, Captain Rigby and Sergeant Willie, were killed in their barracks by an exploded grenade. Smith was suspected of the crime and charged with the murders in the alleged "fragging" incident. The only evidence against him was a grenade pin found in his pocket following an illegal search. It was not uncommon for soldiers to have grenade pins on their person. Smith was ultimately found not guilty. Only minor wear. NM.
