Item Description
2.5" tall from the bottom of the chin to the tip of his hat. The width is 2-1/8" from ear to ear. The depth of his face, with highly molded details, is 1.25". The upward tapering spring nose, mounted just above a nose which is part of his face, is finely coiled and 1.25" long ending. The item is indisputably meant to represent Roosevelt and features black lines around his raised eyes that represent his pince nez eye glasses. There is a bushy mustache painted on his upper lip and within the recessed mouth area is red cross hatching representing his toothy grin. The entire head is topped with a somewhat cartoon-like representation of what can be taken as a Rough Rider hat. This rare novelty was clearly designed to solicit a reaction from any viewer encountering it. A viewer seeing this item would be immediately tempted to reach out and "Tweak" the nose on the spring tip to see it move. Perhaps the thought behind the item stems from the idea that Roosevelt was sticking his  nose into usual two party politics in 1912 by launching his own third party. Even aging w/ faint scattered staining and moderate wear.  Coil stretched in middle. VF.
