Item Description
1.75". No maker. Spring pin holds 3.5" ribbon and attached to this is a figural metal Chief pin w/relief design. Button itself is celluloid in red/yellow and repurposed by manufacturer by applying a sticker over the top surface. Only the rim of the actual button can be seen. The sticker also has Chief image along w/text "Milwaukee 1957 National League Champs Braves." Trace of age to all. VF.  Paul Muchinsky Collection Book Example and the only example we've seen.

The 1957 Braves club won the National League pennant with a record of 95-59 under manager Fred Haney. The Braves offense was led by a pair of National Baseball Hall of Fame sluggers who would both go on to hit over 500 home runs, "Hammerin Hank" Aaron and Eddie Mathews along with a third Cooperstown enshrinee, Red Schoendienst. The mound corps was led by the great Hall of Fame lefty Warren Spahn. Milwaukee would go on to defeat the powerful New York Yankees in seven thrilling games to take the 1957 World Series.

 1.25". Brazel Novelty Mfg. Co. of Cincinnati, OH back paper. Button features baseball image customized by the manufacturer w/a text decal. This was a cost effective way for them to utilize one button for many teams easily and cheaply. Exact date can't be pinpointed but could be for any of the years the Cardinals won the NL Pennant in 1926, 1929, 1930-31 or 1934. Scattered rim staining but button remains glossy. Bit of decal wear at right edge. Fine. Paul Muchinsky Collection Book Example. These types of PM10 buttons typically come in two sizes: 1.75" and 2.25". The button here is exactly 2" dia. We have offered this same Enos photo button in a 1.75" size. No maker.  Shown in St. Louis Cardinals cap, he played for the team 1938-42 and 1946-53. A ten-time All-Star and four-time World Series champ. Inducted in the National Baseball HOF in 1985. Some surface oxidation on the metal back. Stylized design with large letter "C" and inside of this is "Indians." 2.5" ribbons holds large tin litho baseball w/1.5" dia. and marked "Made In Japan."   The Cleveland Indians faced the Boston Red Sox in a one-game playoff for the American League pennant, prevailed, and then went on to beat the Boston Braves in the World Series. The 1948 Cleveland Indians finished the regular season with a record of 97-58 under National Baseball Hall of Fame player/manager Lou Boudreau. The offense was led by a pair of Hall of Famers, rookie Larry Doby (OF) and Joe Gordon (2B). The pitching staff was the league's best, highlighted by the inclusion of rookies Satchel Paige and Bob Lemon along with veteran fireballer Bob Feller.
