Item Description
1-5/8" tin litho. No maker but has union mark on rim curl. Photo of him wearing Cincinnati Reds uniform and in batting stance. Tiny surface marks seen upon close inspection but totally bright and glossy and a much nicer than typically found litho button, espcially for one this size. Exc. He began his MLB career w/the Cincinnati Reds in 1947 and would remain w/the Reds until 1957 when he would move on to Pittsburgh for two seasons. In 1959 "Klu" would join the Chicago White Sox before winding down his career w/one final season in Los Angeles w/the Angels in 1961. Kluszewski wound up w/some pretty impressive career numbers, finishing w/a .298 batting average along w/279 homers and 1,028 RBI's, finishing second in the National League MVP balloting in 1954.
A four-time All-Star, NL home run leader and RBI leader in 1954, two-time World Series champion. Member of the Cincinnati Reds HOF.
