Item Description
2-1/8", no maker, with bar pin on reverse. Text names book title  Israel: An Echo of Eternity plus his name A. J. Heschel (we don't know what the number 25 references).  Heschel believed that teachings of the Hebrew prophets were a call to social action in the U.S. and he worked for African-American civil rights and opposed the Vietnam War. With Dr. King and John Lewis, he participated in the third Selma to Montgomery march. In 1965, he presented the Judaism and World Peace Award to Martin Luther King Jr.  Some light hairline scratches in reflected light. VF. Rare.
