Item Description
Pair of 1-7/8" dia. plastic luggage tags, each w/illustrated paper insert featuring "Batman" name in Japanese kanji characters; one featuring full body images of Batman and Robin while other shows them in Batmobile cockpit. Made in Japan for the Japanese market, 1966. Issued in plastic bags w/illustrated instructions for how to attach tag to clothing or bag using claw-like clip at top. Green tag remains sealed as issued while blue tag has pulled loose from staple. Both remains unused and Exc. Scarce. From the collection of Chip Kidd, renowned author, graphic designer and pop culture enthusiast extraordinaire.
