Item Description
5.25x7.75" hardcover w/106 pages published by The Collector Publishing Co. of Detroit in 1897. "The Comic Blackstone" first appeared in English humor magazine "Punch" c. 1840. This later book saw release in both the United States and England and met w/critical acclaim. Book includes two illustrations from earlier eras on title and preface page. Written by Gilbert Abbott A. Beckett. Rest of book is prose and of a satirical nature and deals w/law in the late 19th century. Cloth-bound hardcover has some wear to spine edges and corner tips. Fine-VF. Inside front and back covers have splits at spine, not affecting integrity of book. Pages have evenly aged and are supple. Exc. overall.
