Item Description
7/8" w/ union bug at 6 o'clock. William Hope Harvey, a West Virginia lawyer had a long career including defending a white man on trial for marrying a black woman, publishing of a widely distributed pamphlet "Coin's Financial School" supporting a return to bimetallism in 1894 and founding the Liberty Party and representing the party as its nominee in the 1932 presidential election. Design features a keystone w/ the Statue of Liberty depicted in center. Faint edge spotting, most notable at 10 o'clock on extreme outer edge. Extremely Fine. John Gearhart Collection.
