Item Description
Vintage glossy 8x10.5" promo photo for Johnny Unitas' Golden Arm Restaurant shows legendary Baltimore Colts quarterback Johnny Unitas (1933-2002) in uniform (sans helmet), about to pass football. Nicknamed "The Golden Arm," Unitas opened a restaurant in Towson, MD bearing the moniker after his playing days. Photo has been inscribed "To Buddy - Best Wishes - Johnny Unitas" in black felt tip pen. Photo has some handling wear w/creases at top corners and 4.25" line of scuffing below (but not affecting) signature. Fine/VF overall.

Unitas is credited by many for revolutionizing the quarterback position, leading to its glamorous role in today's pro football world. A three-time NFL MVP (1959, 1964, 1967), three-time NFL Champion (1958, 1959, 1968) and Super Bowl V Champion are just a few of his long list of accolades. Inducted into the Pro Football HOF in 1979.
