6x9". 1933. This picture was sent to winners of various newspaper giveaways in which three competing rocket ships raced from Earth to Mars. Contestants sent in their pick for the race winner. Contestant entrants selecting "The Rocket Flash" ship to win received this picture. Picture shows inset illustration w/text "Buck Rogers Presenting Trophy To Capt. Frank Flagg, Winning Pilot. Congratulations To You As One Of The Buck Rogers Fans Who Picked The Winning Ship In The Race To Mars! Buck Rogers." Yellow/blue crayon has been added to helmets and Buck's shirt. Text in upper right reads "The Rocket Flash/As It Plunged Across The Finish Line As Winner Of The Earth To Mars Rocket Ship Race." Blank back. Lt. handling crease in bottom right margin not affecting image. Lt. surface dust. A rare premium. Only a couple are known. VF.
