Item Description
6.5x7.5x10.5 solid wood base used to make the production tooling for the hollow body of the 1966 Marx Batphone Hot-Line toy phone. Marx numbered #36012 from the Marx archives originally. Phone body mounted to a solid wood base with 8 wooden molding pieces attached to create scallop design on bottom edge of phone (four additional pieces are missing). Does not include receiver. Lt. aging/wear w/some thin gapping to wood and small crack on filler. Overall displays Fine. Includes a production toy example. Moderate aging/wear. Decals faded/worn and touched up/re-glued on receiver. Did not function when tested. VG. One of a kind prototype piece for a classic Batman toy. Tad Moore Collection.
