5" overall w/1.25" cello. L. Harry Fisher back paper. Striking real photo portrait of Hughes w/ribbons attached under collet of cello. Very slight fading on text of ribbon, otherwise only light wear. Exc. Hughes defeated William Randolph Hearst in 1906, propelling him into the national spotlight, where he would lead an impressive career that included Republican nominee for President, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, and Secretary of State, among other positions.
