Item Description
11x14" on thick stock. Union bug in bottom right corner. Even age toning w/moderate wear and handling, most notably scattered light creases. VF.  Samuel N. Friedel served Maryland in the US House from 1939-1971. The Jewish Congressman rose into politics after founding the Industrial Loan Co. serving in the Maryland House of Delegates from 1935-1939. While a member of the US House, Friedel did not sign the 1956 Southern Manifesto. He voted in favor of the 24th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, the Voting Rights Act of 1965 and Civil Rights Acts of 1957, 1960, 1964, and 1968.
