Item Description
15/16" (24mm). Brass. "Gen. Andrew Jackson" above military portrait. A nice example w/minor wear and sharp details. Exc. Scarce. Prior to the 1824 election presidential campaigning was limited largely to printed material and oratory. Tokens, like the present example, were first used in 1824 marking the beginning of national scale campaign device production.
