Two 2.75x3-3/8" thin paper cards from a set of 24 issued in 1941 for the Superman Bread campaign. Each originally had a small detachable pledge stamp at right which was to be removed and pasted in the Superman Junior Defense League Bread Membership Folder in order to receive a Junior Defense League Pin. Both have pledge stamps detached but cards themselves are complete and all are scarce even without stamps. Both feature choice full color art on front, back is bw w/text including description for that specific scene plus small image of Superman that appears on the club badge and other club items. Each reverse has imprint for "Delorge's" bread plus text "Tune In Superman WCSH 6:15 PM Mon., Wed., Fri." Presented here are cards #9 "Hands Across The Sea" and #10 "A Weighty Subject." Lt. handling wear but cards are very clean and VF.
