Item Description
9x11" stiff, linen-like textured paper binder cover and complete set of 16 issues of "Dumbo Weekly" publication issued as "Compliments Of Your Diamond D-X Dealer." ©1942 WDP. Front cover of binder reads "The Adventures Of Walt Disney's Dumbo" while back cover shows various characters from the 1941 animated film surrounding promotional text for D-X products. Front cover has penciled name of DX dealer. Binder is lightly aged and shows just lt. wear. VF/Exc. Each "Weekly" is four pages and features nice cover art while contents include "Dumbo's Midnight Adventure" story, "Timothy's Tinker Shop" activity, "Gags" page plus different specialty art ads on back for D-X products featuring Dumbo as gas station employee. All have tanned w/age and have binder holes along spine as stored. Issue #5 has tears to first page and last five pages have some moisture staining at top margin/corner. These are VG/Fine. Some other scattered margin wear but overall Fine to VF. Rare as a full set.
