Item Description
Complete 1973 FOOM ("Friends Of Ol' Marvel") kit, the first year of issue. Envelope featuring Jim Steranko Incredible Hulk art has typed mailing label (w/inkstamp and inked notation) shows moderate aging/wear along top/bottom margins w/1" to 1.5" strip missing at top on back. VG. 22x27.5" full color glossy paper poster w/great illustration by Steranko featuring 14 different Marvel superheroes. This is first version (of two) w/white Vision eyes and red Spider-Man eyes. Bottom includes FOOM-related text and Stan Lee facsimile signature. Folded as issued. Some small creases along fold line, but o/w Exc. 5.5x8.5" sheet w/puzzle details club kit contents. Six 3x3" paper sheets which look like stickers (although backs are not gummed), showing Hulk, Thing (w/cigar), Spider-Man (from Amazing Spider-Man Annual #1), Iron Man, Sub-Mariner (w/o vest) and FOOM logo. This is the first and earliest of two different sets. NM. 2.25x3.75" FOOM membership card is unused and has some scattered aging. Exc. Most recent issue of "FOOM" magazine was sent upon joining club. Comes w/FOOM #1 (Feb. 1973), which is CGC 8.5 VF+. Stan Lee, John Buscema and Roy Thomas biographies and photos. Fantastic Four index and article. Stan Lee and Jim Steranko text.
