Item Description
Kit No. 721-400. ©1969 Aurora. Kit depicts the U.S. Navy Sealab III, an experimental underwater habitat developed by the US Navy in the 1960s to prove the viability of saturation diving and humans living in isolation for extended periods of time. The knowledge gained helped advance the science of deep sea diving/rescue, and contributed to the understanding of the psychological/physiological endurance of humans. Kit comes w/two scuba-diver figures w/half the exterior in clear plastic to show the interior. Sides of box lid have diagrams of Sealab. Original store price sticker at top right corner of main lid panel. Box remains tightly sealed, but has 2.5" C-shaped tear to cellophane on bottom side panel. Underside of box has crease at one corner. VF/Exc. Factory-sealed w/unused contents. Janusey Brothers Collection.
