Item Description
DC Comics. Published in 1945 by the Juvenile Group Foundation. Fred Ray cover art from 1942 issue of Superman #14 used for front and back cover of this rare edition minus the price, issue number and publication month. This 68 page book contains two previously issued Superman stories in B&W and was designed to improve reading and writing skills of WWII draftees with limited education. Book contains pre-testing, stories and additional testing repeating some of the panels of each story. Very few examples are known to exist making this a particularly desirable issue to obtain. White pages. CGC Census shows 79 graded copies of Action #1 and only 13 copies of The Superman Work Book. Only one copy in a 7.0 grade in the CGC Census w/only six higher (06/24).
