Item Description
PLEASE NOTE - RING CONDITION IS AS DESCRIBED. WHAT YOU SEE IN OUR PHOTO (ESPECIALLY IF ENLARGED) IS NOT WHAT IS SEEN BY THE NAKED EYE. THE HIGH QUALITY OF THE PHOTOGRAPHIC IMAGE AMPLIFIES EVEN THE MOST MINOR IMPERFECTION. LOOKING AT THE ITEM IN PERSON AND UNDER NORMAL VIEWING CONDITIONS, LITTLE TO NONE OF THIS IS EVIDENT. WHEN WE GIVE A RING LIKE THIS A HIGH GRADE, THAT IS THE ACCURATE GRADE AND A MORE TRUE ACCOUNT OF THE ITEM AS SEEN IN THE CATALOG PHOTO.

This 1937 ring features adjustable brass bands in the shape of a pair of cobras. They join at the top on each side of a scarab, which is finished in dark green enamel paint. Post's used this ring for two of their sponsored radio shows, aviation star Frank Hawks' "Hawk's Trail" and former FBI agent Melvin Purvis-hosted "Junior G-Men." Ring retains full bright gold luster. The scarab, quite susceptible to paint loss, has only three near microscopic air bubble holes as made w/paint nearly 100% complete. High grade, NM example. A scarce ring in general, but a true rarity in this "as nice as they come" condition.  Originally from the collection of former FBI Agent Lin DeVecchio and now Robert M. Overstreet Ring Collection.
