Item Description
The Manimals were originally intended to be released in 1994 as the next phase of the "Lunartix Empire Star Brigade" figures (w/six figures being planned for late 1994), w/these larger than average G.I. Joe figures featuring a transforming ability. Hasbro ultimately canceled the G.I. Joe toyline before the figures were produced. Offered here is the 2-Up wax sculpt prototype for Manimals Iguanus. Iguanus was later released as part of the seventeenth series in 2001 as a Kay Bee Toys exclusive. This detailed wax sculpt features resin and metal interior parts and stands approx. 10" tall. Unassembled, but all components are present save tongue and pair of rifle weapons. Wax has some cracking to feet and at front of neck area, but remains structurally sound. Some scattered aging and lt. wear. VF overall. Unique G.I. Joe prototype.
