Item Description
6.125" long tin litho Batmobile. Made in Japan by Ichimura Co. Ltd., c. 1966. Exclusive to the Japanese market. Three rubber wheels on underside as produced. This is red/yellow color variety (also produced in red/blue). Batmobile tin litho features three batsymbols as well as image of Batman on trunk area and "Batman" name in Japanese. Hood features two half-circle die-cut windows that allow for viewing of separate tin litho disc w/bats on it that spins as car is pushed. Friction works. Lt. aging/wear. Few small nicks. Roof has one small 1/8" spot of bare metal showing, but this blends somewhat and Batmobile still displays VF. Neat design and scarce issue. Mark Warner (UK) Collection.
