Item numbers 955 though 2537 in auction 191
Item Description
Lot consists of two sheets of art paper, one is 8.5x14", the other 14x17". These sheets feature a total of three art panels, each 7.5x9" w/art done in ink and colored pencil. These are sketches for a Disney book and feature Winnie, Piglet and Tigger. Scenes involve them trying to get a beehive from a tree although really accomplishing nothing more than agitating the bees. The smaller sheet has inked text "Tigger Can't Reach It..." Both have been signed in full by Mike Royer who is commonly known as the father of Disney's Winnie the Pooh as he was commissioned by Disney to work on Pooh when they originally bought the property. He launched the Pooh licensing program for Disney and continues to do work on products today including a range of Disney characters. Both sheets have scattered handling wear but remain clean and art is Exc.
