Item Description
6x15" daily comic strip boards contain original pencil art by George Olesen (1924 - 2013) who was an American comic book artist, best known for his work as a penciller on popular comic strip The Phantom. Six strip are pure pencils including text. Other three are lettered w/paste-ups and have been partially inked by unidentified artist. Undated but likely 2000s. Numbered at top #23, 23, 27, 29, 116, 117 (pencils) and 50-52 (inks). Contents vary w/Phantom in several. Many signed by artist. Lt. aging/wear. Exc. Ed Rhoades Collection.
