Item Description
8" tall. c. 1789. Oval portrait of Washington flanked by Justice at right and Liberty at left who proclaims "My Favorite Son". Caption in banner below "Long Live The President Of The United States". Other side features polychrome accented three mast ship w/American flag motif and crossed cannon/ore below. A 15 star federal eagle and traces of owner's initials below spout. Repairs to the base and spout w/traces of original gilt highlights remaining. Fine. Terrifically accented in hand applied polychrome red, blue, yellow and green coloration and transfers remain crisp w/only minor wear. Rex & Patti Stark Collection.
